Missing my baby...

When AG was a little baby (0-4 months) she slept with us. Then we kinda "trained" her to sleep in her own bed because it was a little crowded with us all in the bed and no one was getting a good nights sleep.

NOW... I get in the bed at night and wish she was there.

Words can not express the love you feel for your child. When she is not with me I feel incomplete...

Fun Weekend!!

We have had a GREAT weekend!!

Friday night after work we went to Target to get AG some more Barney movies so we could feed her obsession. Then Caroline met us there and we went to eat dinner at Iguana Grill in Midtown with Mamaw Faye. It was incredibly yummy! I got the fajita nachos and they were delicious. Chips, Chicken, and Cheese on top! My kind of meal...

Saturday morning Ava Grace, Caroline, and I went to the pool. Ava Grace had a blast playing with Caroline. We beat our 2 hour pool record and stayed out there for 3 hours. Then we ate lunch with Daddy at the pool before we went home to put AG down for a nap. SHE SLEPT FOR 3 HOURS!! Swimming wears her out!! Then that afternoon I worked out on my elliptical for a while and read some more in Twilight. Then we got ready to go to Birmingham for the night. AG went to Nana's to play for the evening and we went to a surprise 40th birhtday party for one of our really good friends. The party was so much fun! We were able to see alot of close friends that we do not get to see that often.

Sunday morning we woke up early and headed home to get AG. It was a good 2 hour drive and we stopped in the middle for Waffle House. YUMMY! Then when we got to Nana's AG was taking an early nap. We let her nap for a little bit and then took her home around 11:30. Well, we weren't home long and we went to McDonald's to get AG a happy meal and we went back to Nana's to swim for the afternoon. Needless to say AG is still asleep right now which is highly unusual for her. She did go to bed past her bedtime last night - but just a hour past. She fell asleep on the way home from Nana's around 9pm. Being outside and in the water makes her so tired!!!

SO.... That was our weekend! I hope everyone had a great weekend!!

For now... I need to get some work done while AG is sleeping. Love love

Barney Craze!

My husband always said - "My child is not watching Barney!"

Well, guess what? My little Ava Grace is OBSESSED with that big purple and green dinosaur! Like you would not believe! She says his name about 200 times a day. When she sees a TV or computer she starts pointing at it and yelling, "I WANT BARNEY!"... then she will start saying, "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! I WANT BARNEY!" - (PS. we are working on the please and thank you's!) - So she knows when she says please we can't refuse!

Seriously?!? I wonder how long this will last. I don't mind if she likes Barney. I think it is a great learning tool for her and anything that makes her happy makes me happy... BUT... I have never seen her so in LOVE with a character before!

She even carries around the DVD cases and sings "I LOVE YOU! YOU LOVE ME!"

When she wakes up the first thing we hear on the monitor is her saying "BARNEY!"

He even had to swim with her at Nana's house on Wednesday.

I have been looking online to see if a Barney Live show even existed anymore. I can't find it though. I would take her to see him - I don't care how far away it is! It would be so much fun for her to see him! We are going to buy her some more DVD's tonight. She has 2 right now and have watched them so much they are starting to freeze and skip in certain places! (How bad is that? That she has watched them that much!?!)

Whatever makes her happy! :-)

Fav Snack this week!!

All-Bran Rolled Fiber Wafers - Chocolate (of course!) These things are so good! and Guess What!?! They are good for you too!! It costs you 130 Calories for 3 of them and only 35 of those calories are from fat. On top of that they have 10 grams of fiber!! How awesome is that?!? They keep your system going (if you know what I mean) and they taste GREAT too!!




So, on to my sweet baby! I took her to the splash pad this morning. She had a blast!! Here are some pics of her this morning!! I LOVE this swimsuit!!

My Baby Can Wear Floaties!!

We went to the pool this morning and Ava Grace had a blast. I thought we would just be there for about 30 minutes but 30 minutes turned into about 2 hours. So, anyway one of my friends and her 2 little girls were there and Ava Grace had a lot of fun playing with them. They had an extra pair of arm floaties so we gave them a try. I was so proud of her. She kept them on and could float pretty good by herself. She could have probably done a lot more than I let her! I am still VERY PARANOID around the water!! She is starting to be such a big girl now!! AWWWW!!

I am going to take her to get her own floaties and pool toys in a little bit! She has a float that she can sit in but she does not want to play with that! She is little miss independent! FOR SURE!!

FUN and PRODUCTIVE Day!!

So, today was my first day with AG at home for the summer!! It was awesome!! I hope every day goes this smoothly!

We started out the morning with Blueberry Muffins and bananas (of course!!) Then she played with her toys while I worked. Then we bought groceries for the week and made a trip to the post office while the house was getting cleaned. She ate lunch (kinda - for those of you that know Ava Grace, you know she is a moody eater) - so she picked over her lunch and then took a nap for about 2 1/2 hours... During that time I got SO MUCH WORK DONE!! It was like I had this adrenaline rush or something. I knew she could wake up at any minute so I was just going and going and going and going!! Then this afternoon I pulled out her splash pool that she has not played with since last year and she had a blast!! She LOVED it!! Then Daddy came home and grilled us steaks. After dinner AG and Daddy went to hit golf balls while I went to my Bible Study at church. And YES she has her own golf clubs!! They are pink! But she doesn't really hit the ball - she just picks the balls up and puts them in the hole! She knows where they go and taking them there is just a heck of a lot easier than hitting them in!! After we all got home I cleaned the kitchen and got AG ready for bed. We read Veggie Tales about 3 times and sang the songs and then she went Night Night. To TOP off this WONDERFUL day I made cookies!! Oatmeal Raisin to be exact!! So, off I go to eat my cookies and drink my milk for the day!!
