How often do you clean out your closet?

What are your personal rules for the clothes in your closet? I have a hard time going thru mine and getting rid of clothes that I haven't worn in a while.

I always think - well... I MIGHT wear it one day!

So, the problem is that it is getting colder so I have switched over to the bottom row in my closet where most of my winter clothes are and I DON'T LIKE ANY OF THEM!

For one, I have lost about 15 pounds since last fall. So alot of them don't look that great on me anymore. I am good on jeans - I really just need shirts right now. Any suggestions for really cute shirts that are not too expensive?

WOULD LOVE SOME SUGGESTIONS and OPINIONS!

I try to clean mine out at least once a year. I try to approach it with the attitude of if I haven't worn it in the past year, then chances are I won't wear it in the next year...so it goes.

If your looking for inexpensive, I'd say Old Navy, Walmart, Target.

I know what you mean, I always feel that way when I switch my clothes over every season.

What I do is, EVERYTIME I add something to my closet I take something away. I really try to follow that rule of thumb that if you haven't worn it in a year, get rid of it. I have given away a lot of clothes that I loved, but I just needed to get rid of, and honestly, you don't miss it once it's gone.
